Valencia, a fabulous city full of contrasts and a travel photographers dream. There are two distinct parts to this city. The old part, El Carmen, with its ‘run down’ cobbled alleyways and beautiful 13th century architecture. Then there is the modern masterpiece, the City of Arts and Sciences. An incredible collection of striking, futuristic buildings designed by the renowned architect Santiago Calatrava.

Our base will be close to the City of Arts and Sciences, and where our endeavours will be concentrated. the main sessions will be around dawn and dusk, when the low light and reflective pools turn this place into a photographic wonderland.

The modern architecture is also ideal for black & white, Long exposures, as well as colour photography. The City of Arts and Sciences will be our primary focus during the workshop, but we will make time to explore the historic centre as well.
